Nothing Gold Can Stay

by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sand to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

  4. Great job with changing the cadence at the end! Slowing it down brings attention to the words!

  5. Courtney & Kristin, I thought it was interesting how you emphasized each of the words in the last line, which makes sense because it is its own sentence. Great job!
